Modernism in Graphic Design.
A contextual report for my BA (Hons) Graphic Communication Design degree at UAL Central Saint Martins supporting the studio portfolio produced for the final unit of work.
As a designer, writer, and human being, I firmly believe that every creation in a design setting should serve a purpose that extends beyond mere existence. Such a perspective aligns with the principles of the modernist school of thought; in this critical report, I aim to evaluate the significance of modernist values such as functionality, simplicity, and rationality in both my own practice and the broader field of design.
